Maribel grew up living in Virginia and was a child of her parents along with siblings although the details of their lives are not available. She was extremely determined at the age of just five to pursue a career in law. When she finished high school, she was accepted into the University of Virginia to pursue the major of German and a minor in foreign Policy. Thomas Jefferson one of Declaration of Independence's founders founded the school in 1819. The university has expanded to now offer over a hundred programs, in the vicinity of Jefferson's Academical Village which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
